Install Hearthworld
Set up a Universal 3D project, install the asset, and open the editor.
Before you install
The current preview has been tested with Unity 6000.6.5f1 and URP 17.6.0. Start with a Universal 3D project. For an existing project, make a checkpoint in version control before importing or changing renderer settings.
Import the package
- In Unity, choose Assets → Import Package → Custom Package and select the Hearthworld .unitypackage.
- Keep all entries selected and import. Hearthworld installs under
Assets/Hearthworld. - Wait for compilation, then open Tools → Hearthworld → Open Hearthworld. The panel opens automatically on the first interactive launch.
A .unitypackage does not install Package Manager dependencies. Use a Universal 3D project so the required render pipeline is already set up.
Choose your renderer settings
Use Setup → Apply Hearthworld URP Settings if you want the bundled defaults. This changes the active render pipeline settings for the project. Apply it once if it suits the project.
